GreenLabs Recycling collects and recycles empty pipette tip boxes, refillable wafers and other plastic items from research facilities in Greater Boston and helps us optimize products for recycling.

1: Polyethylene Terephthalate

Polyethylene terephthalate, also referred to as PET or PETE, is the most frequently recycled plastic. It can be found in plastic soda and water bottles and Rainin products like TerraRack and Green-Pak SpaceSaver.

5: Polypropylene

Polypropylene (PP) is inert against chemical reaction. Many injection-molded plastic products are made out of it. With a high melting point, it's used to contain hot liquids and food, and many medicine bottles rely on PP. Rainin pipette tips and most of our pipette tip racks are made out of pure 100% virgin Polypropelene.

Low-Density Polyethylene, or LDPE, can be found in milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles and some shopping bags. It's a commonly used plastic. Some Rainin products are shrink-wrapped in LDPE.
